About us

The Bay Jewel Event Center is Corpus Christi’s newest event venue. Located in the heart of downtown with 14,000 square feet of event space. Our venue is elegant and timeless. The Diamond Ballroom’s stunning design, original brick pillars, new windows and chandeliers with a built in bar area and seating for up to 250 people. Our grand staircase leads up to the Pearl Mezzanine with window seating perfect for cocktail hour, mixers or a ceremony site. With two additional event rooms, The Ruby Room downstairs and Emerald Room upstairs they may be the perfect fit for smaller event and budget.  Two private guest suites upstairs offer a space to get ready, a band's green room or your "I Do Crew" with the pampering needed on your big day.  With an elevator, caterer’s kitchen and restrooms on both levels it is just what you need to host your next event.

Alexandria Garza
Event Coordinator 

Alexandria has made The Bay Jewel her home away from home since 2018 when she began as an event bartender. Her love for events grew as did her role within the company. She has been event coordinating since 2020 and hasn't looked back! 

Her passion for hosting events continues to grow as she evolves within the industry that she loves. Her clients and team members become family and her dedication to them shows in each detail she perfects for every event. From planning meetings to events, she loves making her clients visions come to life and strives to exceed expectations. 

One of Alexandrias favorite pieces of advice to anyone planning an event is to go with your gut. Don't let others pressure you into changing your vision. Do what makes you happy. Get the mechanical bull for your reception. Want the dancing robot at your birthday party? Do it! Do not waiver on what will make your event magical for you.

With a passion for creating seamless, memorable events, Miranda combines expertise in event coordination and bar management to bring people together in extraordinary ways. With 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she has developed a unique skill set that blends creativity, organization, and customer-focused service. Her attention to detail, adaptability and commitment to bring every clients vision to life will make working with her an easy decision to make.

As an event coordinator, Miranda has successfully planned and executed a wide range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. Whether managing logistics, curating vendor partnerships, or ensuring every detail is in place, she thrives in fast-paced environments, delivering exceptional experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Drawing from a strong background as a bartender, she can create personalized drink menus and manage bar operations efficiently. Her bartending skills not only add a special touch to events but also provide a deep understanding of guest engagement and service excellence.
